Charles Lane collection, 1890-1973.

Diaries of Lee S. Wells diaries written in Chicago, Indianapolis, and Idaho, 1890-1917. Wells resided in Chicago except for a time in 1909-1910 when he assisted his brother-in-law in running a dairy in Indianapolis. In March of 1916, Wells, his wife and daughter moved to Idaho. The diaries for September 1897 through August 1901, January 1902 through March 9, 1906 contain entries by his mother Helen. Photographs of historic Plainwell, Michigan, people, homes, and businesses.
